Srinagar, Mar 22 (KS) : An on-duty police officer died of cardiac arrest in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Friday.
An official told News Agency Kashmir Scroll, the officer, identified as ASI Mushtaq Ahmad from Karnah Kupwara, fell unconscious during duty at Abi-Guzar area under the police jurisdiction of Kothibagh in the afternoon.
He was promptly taken to the PCR hospital for treatment but was unfortunately declared dead at the hospital.
The officer also mentioned that a further investigation has been initiated. (KS)
