Srinagar, July 21 (KAT): Minister for Education Sakina Itoo on Tuesday announced that summer vacation for all Government and recognized private schools in Kashmir Division and the winter zones of Jammu Division has been extended up to July 26.
Announcing the decision on X, Itoo said the extension has been made in view of the prevailing weather conditions.
"In view of the prevailing weather conditions, it has been decided to extend the summer vacation for all Government and recognized private schools in the Kashmir Division and the winter zones of Jammu Division up to 26th July (Saturday)," she posted.
The decision comes amid the MeT department’s forecast of widespread rain and heavy to very heavy rainfall across Jammu and Kashmir from July 19 to July 23.(KAT)
