Srinagar, July 22 (KAT): A police constable was killed in an ongoing gunfight in Kokernag area of South Kashmir's Anantnag district on Wednesday.
Reports reaching Kashmir Abb Tak said that a injured policemen were immediately shifted to nearby hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The killed constable has been identified as Ashiq Hussain from Anantnag.
Meanwhile, operation in the area is still underway.
Earlier, a gunfight broke out between terrorists and security forces in the area after a specific input was recieved.(KAT)
