Earthquake of Magnitude 4.8 Strikes Baramulla, Tremors Felt Across Kashmir

Srinagar, February 2 (KAT): An earthquake of magnitude 4.8 struck Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir, the National Centre of Seismology (NCS) said.

The earthquake occurred at 05:35:54 pm at a depth of 10 kilometres in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir, it said.

“EQ of M: 4.8, On: 02/02/2026 05:35:54 IST, Lat: 34.14 N, Long: 74.41 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir," it said.(KAT)
