Srinagar, December 13 (KAT): Continuing its drive against social crimes, Police in Srinagar have arrested 4 gamblers and seized stake money from their possession.
A Police spokesperson said that acting on a reliable information regarding the gambling activities in Srinagar area, a Police party of PS Bemina raided the specific location and arrested 04 gamblers. They have been identified as Mohd Sultan Hanji son of Ab Rehman resident of Shah Colony Fruit Mandi, Altaf Ahmed Guroo son of Ab Hameed, Fayaz Ahmad Dandroo son of Gh Mohd and Irshad Ahmad Khanday son of Gh Mohd Khanday, all residents of Mansoor Colony Bemina.
Stake money of ₹7,190/-, playing cards and 03 mobile phones have been recovered from their possession.
Regarding the incidents, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Bemina and investigation has been initiated.
Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt with as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local Police units.(KAT)
