10 Civilians Injured In Grenade Blast In Sunday Market Srinagar

Srinagar, November 03 (KAT): At least 10 civilians were injured in a grenade blast at Sunday Market area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Sunday.

Reports reaching Kashmir Abb Tak that militants lobbed a grenade in a busy Market near TRC resulting in injuries to ten people.

All injured identified as Misba (17), daughter of Mohammad Amin Tantry, resident of Nowgam. Azaan Kaloo (17), son of Javaid Ahmad Kaloo, resident of Noorbagh, Habibullah Rather (50), son of Abdul Jabbar, resident of Kaloosa Bandipora, Altaf Ahmad Seer (21), son of Abdul Rashid, resident of Amshipora, Shopian,Faizal Ahmad (16), son of Fayaz Ahmad Baig, resident of Khanyar, Uzair Farooq Bhat, son of Farooq Ahmed Bhat, resident of Pattan, Faizan Mushtaq (20), son of Mushtaq Ahmad Sofi, resident of Pampore, Zahid Wani (19), son of Gulzar Ahmad Wani, resident of Checkpora Kalan, Nowgam, Gulam Muhammad Sofi (55), son of Gulam Ahmad, resident of Chattabal & Sumaiya Jan (45), wife of Zubair Ahmed Lone, resident of Naidkhai, Sumbal.

All of them have been immediately shifted to SMHS Srinagar for treatment. However all are stable as they have recieved few splinters.

Soon after the incident whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.(KAT)
