Srinagar, Aug 11: The administration of LD Hospital has clarified that there is no shortage of space for attendants, emphasizing their commitment to addressing patient and attendant issues and continuously upgrading services as needed.
In response to a recent post on X by a citizen regarding the lack of space for dining at the hospital, Medical Superintendent Dr. Muzaffar Jan stated that the 710-bedded Government Lal Ded Hospital experiences a high influx of patients and attendants daily. As the only tertiary care maternity hospital in the Kashmir Division, it serves patients not only from every district in the region but also from Doda, Kishtwar, and Ramban.
To accommodate this significant patient flow, the hospital has established comprehensive logistics for patients and their attendants. Dr. Jan noted that the facility includes two canteens, two sarais (rest houses), and two open parks designated for patients and attendants, which are often used for dining. He emphasized that there is no constraint on space for attendants, and the hospital maintains one park solely for beautification and tranquility.
Dr. Jan also urged the public to limit the number of attendees accompanying patients to ensure that sanitation and patient care are not compromised by excessive attendants.
The hospital administration remains dedicated to improving services in response to the needs of patients and their families.
