Srinagar, Dec 07 (KS) : The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir today reviewed progress on Comprehensive Sewerage Scheme in Zone-III of Greater Srinagar under Languishing Scheme of erstwhile JnNURM executed by H&UDD/UEED.
The meeting was attended by Chief Engineers of PHE, PWD Central, General Manager NBCC, officers of SMC and representatives of the area.
The meeting was informed that Trunk Sewer Line has been 99 percentcompleted while Lateral Sewer Line has been entirely completed besides 60 MLD STP is near completion with 98% work done.
It was further informed that due to non-availability of fronts for Trunk Sewer Line at 90 feet road for shifting of 16 Shops & Re-Alignment of PHE pipes at Alamgiri Bazar the remaining work is pending for completion.
On the occasion, Divisional Commissioner directed concerned officers to speed up the execution of work so the concerned area doesn’t face inconvenience due water logging.
He enjoined concerned to make the arrangements for providing the electricity to ensure the operation of the STP.
He also instructed for completion of rehabilitation process of shopkeepers so the remaining segment of Sewer Line is completed.(KS)
