Srinagar, September 27 (KAT): J&K Police have cracked theft case of its registration, recovering the stolen property and arresting three accused persons in connection with the theft of copper items from an shop at Hyderbeigh.
In a hideout to KAT, Police Post Palhallan said that on night August 5, 2026, a case vide FIR No. 186/2026 under Section 331(2) and 335 of the BNS was registered on the basis of a written complaint lodged by Shakeel Ahmad Malik, resident of Singhpora regarding the theft of quantity of copper utensils. During investigation, acting on credible information, one suspect, namely Abrar Hussain Mir, son of Manzoor Ahmad Mir, resident of Kakapora, was apprehended for questioning. During sustained questioning, he disclosed his involvement in the theft along with other accomplices Showkat Hussain Mir, son of Manzoor Hussain Mir, resident of Kakapora and Nazir Ahmad Dar, son of Assadullah Dar, resident of Chainabal. All three accused have been booked in the instant case, and the stolen property was subsequently recovered on the basis of their disclosure and identification.
