Big Update Regarding Dehli Red Fort Blast

The death toll in the car blast near Red Fort stands at 13 after a patient, who was in a critical condition, succumbed to burn injuries on Thursday (November 13, 2025), according to a senior police officer. A day after the Centre called the Delhi car blast a ‘terror incident’, Faridabad Police detained a person linked to a second vehicle — a red Ford EcoSport — in connection with the explosion. The man allegedly parked the car, owned by Umar Nabi, in Khandawali village in Haryana.

Earlier in the day, police sources confirmed that Nabi, the doctor from J&K’s Pulwama teaching at Faridabad’s Al-Falah University, was driving the car that exploded near Red Fort. The DNA samples of Umar’s mother were collected on Tuesday (November 11) and analysed along with the remains gathered from the blast site.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced on Thursday (November 13) that the Lal Quila Metro Station will continue to remain closed until further notice due to security reasons. All other metro stations and lines are functioning as per schedule.
