Handwara Accident Update: Another Student Girl Succumbs, Toll Reaches To 2

CM Expresses Deepest Condolences To Their Families In This Hour Of Grief, Offers Necessary Assistance

Srinagar, April 12(GNS): Another student girl succumbed to her injuries taking toll to two in a tragedic accident when their bus met with an accident at Vodphura area of North Kashmir's Handwara.

Officials told GNS that another girl who was referred to SMHS Srinagar succumbed to her injuries. 

The two girls who were killed in this accident have been identified as Mymoona (21) and Tabasum Ahad resident of Kalaroos Lolab, both the students of Degree college Sogam.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has expressed his grief and in his official statement he said, "The loss of two young promising students from GDC Sogam, in the tragic accident near Handwara is a tragedy that weighs heavily on all of us. My deepest condolences to their families in this hour of grief. Prayers for the swift recovery of the injured. We are closely monitoring the situation and ensuring all necessary assistance.

Earlier, a bus carrying students of degree college Sogam turned turtle near Vodpora area of Handwara resulting death of one student girl and injuries to sixteen others .(GNS)
