Jammu, March 12 (KAT): Police on Wednesday said that it have arrested one person involved in a theft lifted case in Samba district.
In a handout to KAT, the police said that on 17th February Police Station Vijaypur received an information through reliable sources that an theft of motorcycle Hero Splender bearing registration No. JK21F-5938 from Hospital Vijaypur.
According to police spokesman, upon receipt of this information, a Police team of PS Vijaypur reached to a spot alone with SHO PS Vijaypur after hectic efforts coupled with technical analysis. Stolen bike has been recovered on the spot.
Upon preliminary enquiry, a case FIR No 2025 U/S 303(2) BNS was registered in PS Vijaypur and investigation was set into motion.
During the course of investigation, accused person namely Mohd Saleem S/O Mohd Munshi R/O Beli Charana district Jammu were identified and were found involved in the instant case. The accused person have been arrested.
Further investigation into the case is going on, reads the statement.(KAT)
