Kokernag, August 1, 2024: A bear attack occurred in an agricultural field in South Kashmir's Anantnag district Loharsanzi, Kokernag, leaving a farmer injured.
Reports reaching said that Ghulam Nabi Muglo, son of Ghulam Ahmad, a resident of Loharsanzi, was attacked by the bear while working in his field. He was promptly shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Kokernag for treatment from where he has been referred to GMC Anantnag for further treatment.
The incident highlights the growing concern of human-wildlife conflict in the region. Authorities are urged to take measures to prevent such incidents and ensure the safety of locals.
