Srinagar, July 30 (KS):- A bear mauled a woman to death in Handwara area of North Kashmir's Kupwara district on Tuesday.
An official told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that a 50-year-old woman was killed in a bear attack in Mirpora Qalamabad area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
He said that Zareefa bagum wife of Farooq Ahmad khan, resident of Mirpora Qalamabad was attacked by the wild animal while she was outside her home.
He said that Zareefa received serious injuries in the attack and later succumbed to injuries.
Meanwhile further proceedings in this regard have been taken up.(KS)
