ACB arrests Patwari while taking bribe in Khan sahib, Budgam District | KLU


 

Srinagar, Oct 22, KDC: Anti Corruption Bureau on Thursday arrested a Patwari red handed while taking a bribe of five thousand in Kremshoor area of Khan Sahib in central Kashmir's Budgam district. 


An official told news agency KDC that ACB team headed by DySP Rayees Ahmad acting upon the complaint, raided into the rented room of a local Patwari and arrested him while accepting a bribe of rupees five thousand. 


The arrested Patwari was identified as Irshad Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar, who was holding the charge of Patwari for halqa Parnewa, Wager and Kulbugh. 


Pertinently, ACB had received complaints against the aforesaid Patwari that he was issuing the fraud revenue extracts after taking the bribe from people. 


Acting upon the complaint the ACB laid a trap and arrested the said Patwari while accepting the bribe of five thousand. 


Meanwhile, In this connection a case under FIR number 19/2020 under section 07 of prevention of corruption Act stands registered at ACB police station Srinagar. (KDC)
