Srinagar, January 6 (KAT): The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a temporary power shutdown in various areas to facilitate infrastructure upgradation and maintenance work.
According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, The 33 KV Wanpoh-Ashajipora and Wanpoh-Malaknag DC lines will be out of service on January 8 and 10, resulting in power disruption from 9 AM to 3 PM in Ashajipora, Dialgam, Malaknag, Hazratbal, Brakpora, Doonipawa and adjoining areas from 9 am to 3 pm.
Similarly, the 33 KV Bemina-Fateh Kadal and Bemina-Barbarshah lines will be shut down on January 8, 12 and 15, affecting electricity supply from 10 AM to 3 PM in Mohalla Nowpora, Bohrikadal, BB Shah, Bishembarnagar, Gousia Hospital, Naisarak, Barbarshah, Exchange, Basant Bagh, Car Parking Maisuma, and adjoining areas.
Authorities have urged residents to make necessary arrangements in advance to mitigate inconvenience during the scheduled outages.(KAT)
