KPDCL Announced Power Outages For Maintenance - Check Areas & Dates


Srinagar, January 4 (KAT): The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a temporary power shutdown in various areas to facilitate infrastructure upgradation and maintenance work.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the 33 kV Tral First Line will be observed on January 4, 2026, resulting in disruption of electricity supply to Tral, Devar, Pinglish, Dadsara, Chandergam, Mandoora, Kahlil, Bajwani, Noorpora and adjoining areas from 9 am to 3 pm. In addition, the 33 kV tap line of Tral First Line from Nowdal will remain shut on January 7 and January 11, 2026, affecting power supply to Tral-I, Payeen, Devar, Pinglish, Chewa, Kahlil, Tral Bala, Bajwani and nearby areas during the same hours.

Similarly, the 33 kV Pampore–SIDCO and 33 kV Pampore–Pampore lines have been scheduled on January 1, 2026. During this period, power supply to IE Khrew and Cement Plants, Wuyen, Pampore-I and II, IE Wuyen, Namblabal, Drangbal, Khadermoh and adjoining areas will remain affected between 9 am and 3 pm.

Also in this connection, the 33 kV Handwara Old Line will be shut down on January 4, 2026, disrupting electricity supply to Changimulla, Zachaldara, Wadipora, Adoora, Hangah, Haril, Lach, Batagund and nearby localities from 10 am to 3 pm.

Additionally, the 33 kV Pattan–Amargarh line has been scheduled for January 6, 2026, affecting power supply to Zangam, Nehalpora, Pattan, Hamray, Palhallan, Hospital, Wanigam and adjoining areas from 10 am to 3 pm.

Authorities have urged residents to make necessary arrangements in advance to mitigate inconvenience during the scheduled outages.(KAT)
