Srinagar, December 22 (KAT): A army soldier died of a suspected cardiac arrest during duty hours in Nowgam area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday evening.
Reports reaching Kashmir Abb Tak said that one Subedar Laike Ram, senior non-commissioned officer Rank, of 12 Rajputana Rifles, complained of acute chest pain and subsequently fell unconscious during duty hours at Nowgam Sector Kupwara.
“The soldier was taken to nearby hospital, where the doctors declared him as brought dead on arrival”, the official said.
Confirming the death of the soldier, a police official told that as per the doctors the army soldier has died of cardiac arrest.(KAT)
