KPDCL Announced Power Outages For Maintenance - Check Areas & Dates


Srinagar, March 11 (KAT): The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a temporary power shutdown in various areas of Srinagar and Shopian to facilitate infrastructure upgradation and maintenance work.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the 33kV Bemina-JVC line will remain shut on March 16, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 03:00 PM, for the installation of poles and shifting of an 11kV line near the 33kV isolator Gantry of the Children’s Hospital tap line. This will affect power supply to JVC Hospital, Children Hospital, State Motor Garage, Haj House, Forensic Lab, PC Depot, Qamarwari, Barthana, and adjoining areas.

Similarly, the 33kV Lassipora-Landoora line will be shut on March 17, 19, and 22, 2025, from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM, for the installation of an 11kV VCB Panel at PHC Hermain, erection of ST Poles, and laying of an ACSR Conductor under the stabilisation plan. This will impact power supply to Landoora, Mantribugh, Chookra, Hermain, Hajipora, Frisal, Watchi, and Moomin areas.

Additionally, the 33kV Lassipora-Reshipora line will remain shut on March 15, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM, to facilitate infrastructure upgradation at Panchayat Halka Reban & Chitragam, affecting power supply to Zainpora, Reban, Nagbal, Aglar, Tarkawangam, Chitragam, Sugan, Anweera, and Hotline areas.

Authorities have urged residents to make necessary arrangements in advance to mitigate inconvenience during the scheduled outages.(KAT)
