Srinagar, February 16 (KAT): The Chief Engineer of Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power outages in multiple areas of Kashmir to facilitate essential maintenance and infrastructure upgrades.
According to KPDCL, to carry out the shifting of 132 KV CTs/LAs in Delina Pattan Circuit-II, the power supply to several 33 KV feeders, including Pattan, HMT, Markandal, and Gulmarg, as well as areas such as Magam, Mirgund, Markandal, Sumbal, Tangmarg, Hamray, Palhallan, Singhpora, and Hanjiwera, will be affected on February 17 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Additionally, in order to carry out the erection of a transmission line tower between Tower No. 76 and Tower No. 77 of the 220 KV Wagoora-Zainakote Line to increase vertical clearance between the 132 KV Budgam-IRCON line and the 220 KV Wagoora-Zainakote Transmission Line, power supply disruptions have been scheduled on February 22 and 23 from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The affected 33 KV feeders include Laar/Tullamulla, Kurhama/Dab, Safapora/Wangipora, Army/Hakbara, Ajas/Nadihal, Aloosa/Panzigaam, Ajar Bandipora, Gurez, Wassun, Kangan, Sarfaraw/Gagangeer, Power House/Manigaam, Nagbal/Tulbagh, Gulabagh/Ahmad Nagar, BAMK, Zakoora, Lalbazaar, Habak Line, and Illahibagh. The areas impacted include Nagbal, Darend, Busserbug, Gulababad, Zukura, Beehama, Duderhama, Harran, Armpora, Manigaam, Gutlibagh, Nuner, Baderkund, Waheedpora, Saloora, Bambloora, Arch, Wayil, Gadoora, Fathpora, Shalabugh, Chundina, Tulbagh, Kuraq, and Kachan.
Furthermore, power supply to 33 KV feeders, including Kremshore, Budgam, Ichgam, Watrihail, Chadoora, and Char-i-Sharief, along with feeding areas such as Kremshore, Ichgam, Budgam, Watrihail, Chadoora, Brenwar, Khansahab, Hanjoora, Nagam, Barwah Hafroo, Wathoora, Char-i-Sharief, and adjoining areas, will remain affected on February 24 and 25 from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Authorities have urged residents to make necessary arrangements in advance to mitigate inconvenience during the scheduled outages.(KAT)
