Commissioner Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department may kindly refer Govt. Order No. 1582-JK(GAD) of 2023 dated 11.12.2023, regarding the list of holidays for the year 2024 and to submit that CEO J&K Waqf Board, vide letter No. JKWB/CEO/2024/386-88 dated 26.09.2024 has reported that the Urs of Sheikh Noor-Ud-Din Noorani (RA) shall be celebrated on 26th of Rabi-us-Sani, (Islamic Month) which is likely to fall in the last week of October, 2024 subject to appearance of moon. CEO, J&K Waqf Board has recommended for postponement of holiday on account of Urs. Sheikh Noor-Ud-Din-Noorani (RA) scheduled for 30.09.2024 (Monday).
The undersigned is accordingly directed to request Commissioner Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department to consider for postponement of holiday on account of Urs. Sheikh Noor-Ud-Din-Sahib scheduled for 30.09.2024 (Monday). Fresh date for declaration of holiday for the same shall be communicated separately once recommendation is received from CEO, J&K Waqf Board.
