Srinagar, Sep 07: Union Home Minister Amit Shah Saturday reiterated that statehood to Jammu & Kashmir will be restored once Assembly elections are held and added, the polls being held under national flag, and constitution is ‘historical’ this time for J&K.
He at the occasion took on Congress-National Conference alliance of making attempts to revive the uncertainty in the region.
“The Modi led NDA government will not allow the revival of terrorism, autonomy, and injustice with any community of J&K. The fresh alliance of Congress and NC in J&K is aimed to trigger chaos in the region which won’t be allowed at any cost,” Shah as per KNS said.
“The forthcoming elections in J&K are historic because after independence, the polls are happening the first time under our national flag and constitution. Earlier this practice was being held under two flags, and two constitutions.
I want to reiterate that we have only one prime minister from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, and he is Modi,” Shah said while addressing a BJP rally in Jammu.
He alleged that National Conference and Congress who recently came into alliance is aimed to push Jammu & Kashmir into terrorism. “The Modi led government has wiped out terrorism in Kashmir valley. The incidents of terrorism have been reduced, but few political parties are wishing to revive the old culture here. This would not be allowed,” Shah said.
He asserted that NC and Congress will never be in a position to form a government in Jammu & Kashmir. He assured party workers that be confident about it, and work energetically at grassroots level to ensure the success of the BJP in the coming elections.
Over talks with Pakistan, the Home Minister said that there can be no talks with Pakistan until peace becomes a permanent feature in J&K.
