Uri, 07 May 2023,(KAT) : Police under the supervision of Sh Shokat Ali-JKPS, SDPO Uri assisted by DySP Prob Kubra Nazir, SHO PS Boniyar arrested most wanted Drug smuggler namely Abdul Qayoom Ganie S/O Ghulam Rasool Ganie R/O Trikanjan Boniyar during naka checking at Boniyar Market who was coming from Trikanjan towards Boniyar Market and upon seeing the naka party tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully.
During his personal search 45 grams of contraband Brown Sugar like substance was recovered from him and was taken into custody immediately.
Case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Boniyar and investigations set in motion.
General People of the area hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship—(KAT)
