Srinagar, 09 October 2021,(KAT) : A gunfight has started between militants and government forces in Methan area of Central Kashmir's Srinagar district on Saturday.
Police Officials Told News Agency—(KAT - Kashmir Abb Tak) that a joint team of Police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Methan.
As the joint team of forces encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an gunfight.
It also confirmed to about exchange of firing between militants and security forces.
Pertinently, one militant of LeT was killed on Friday evening in a brief shootout with police in Natipora area—(KAT)
