Pulwama, 14 July 2021, (KAT): Encounter has started between militants and government forces in main town area of South Kashmir's Pulwama district on Wednesday.
Reports reaching that a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in main town.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an gunfight.
A senior police officer also confirmed to News Agency (Kashmir Abb Tak) about exchange of firing between militants and security forces.
As this report was being filed intermittent exchange of fire was going on_(KAT).
