*Militant killed in ongoing Qazigund encounter, internet suspended |

Jk Online News (JKON) Kulgam, Apr 27(JKON): One militant has been killed in an exchange of fire between militants and security forces in an ongoing operation at Lower-Munda area of Qazigund in south Kashmir's Kulgam district on Monday morning.
An official told news agency—Kashmir news observer(KNO), that a joint team of Police, Army’s and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation at Lower-Munda after they had specific input about the presence of some militants in the area.
“As they approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, which was retaliated, triggering an encounter. Exchange of fire is going on," he said.
He said one militant has been killed while second militant is still trapped as a fierce encounter is underway. More details will follow soon.
Meanwhile, in view of encounter authorities also suspended mobile Internet services in Kulgam district as a precautionary measure—(JKON)
