Srinagar, December 13 (KAT): The Director of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) on Saturday announced winter vacation for all Government and recognised private schools up to the Higher Secondary level in the Jammu Division.
According to the order, issued by DSEJ, as per Kashmir Abb Tak, the winter break for pre-primary to 5th classes will begin on December 22 and continue till January 10, 2026. Classes 6 to 8 will close from December 26 to January 10, while the vacation for classes 9 to 12 will remain effective from December 29 to January 10.
The order says that teaching staff must remain available for any academic activity during the break. All teachers have been directed to report back to their respective schools on January 10, 2026, to prepare for reopening. Any violation of the schedule by school heads or staff will invite action under rules.(KAT)
