Srinagar, December 13 (KAT): The Traffic Police Rural Kashmir on Friday launched a major crackdown against traffic violators at Mughal Garden Achabal. The drive was led by SHO Achabal Majid Nadeem, along with Jammu & Kashmir Police.
SHO Majid Nadeem told Kashmir Abb Tak, the operation was aimed at curbing frequent violations, including overloading, driving without seat belts, and riding two-wheelers without helmets or licenses. The department has intensified enforcement to address the rising number of road safety breaches in rural areas.
During the drive, several passenger vehicles were seized for having incomplete documents and being found involved in multiple traffic violations.
Authorities further warned of strict legal action against underage and stunt drivers, stating that such activities pose a serious risk to public safety.
The traffic department said the drive will continue in the coming days to ensure strict enforcement of traffic regulations and promote safer roads across rural Kashmir.(KAT)
