KPDCL Announced Power Outages For Maintenance - Check Areas & Dates


Srinagar, March 13 (KAT): The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power outages in various areas across the region to facilitate upgradation and maintenance of power infrastructure. The shutdowns will affect multiple receiving stations and disrupt electricity supply in several districts between March 16 and 24, 2025.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the 33KV Wanpoh SICOP Line will undergo upgradation from 0.1 ACSR to 0.2 ACSR, leading to power cuts in Shamsipora, SICOP, Zirpara, Veeri, Cheniwader, and adjoining areas on March 18, 20, 22, and 24 from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Similarly, the installation and replacement of isolators on the 33KV Lassipora-Lassipora line will cause outages in Landoora, Arihal, Achan, Lassipora, and surrounding areas on March 16 and 18 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Additionally, the replacement of wooden poles on the 33KV Nehalpora-Markundal line will result in power disruptions in Naidkhai, Markundal, Sumbal, and nearby locations on March 18 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The 33KV Nehalpora-HMT line will also be shut down on the same day, affecting Dangerpora, Shilvat, Panznara, Ganstan, and surrounding areas during the same time frame.

Authorities have urged residents to make necessary arrangements in advance to mitigate inconvenience during the scheduled outages.(KAT)
