We will Never accept BJP's Vision of Exclusive India: Farooq Abdullah

Srinagar, September 08: National Conference President Farooq Abdullah on Sunday said that they will never accept the vision of Bhatiya Janta Party of exclusive India.

Speaking to reporters, Abdullah said that the National Conference will not be intimidated. "We are not cowards and will not accept the BJP's vision of an exclusive India."

Responding to recent remarks by Amit Shah, who suggested that the National Conference and Congress were outdated, Abdullah said that they are against the India they want to create. India belongs to everyone — Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, and Buddhists alike.

He further criticized the BJP's attempts to scare Hindus into voting for them, stating, "The Hindus are not the ones the BJP thinks they are.

They have tried to sell Ram and now attempt to instill fear."

Abdullah questioned the BJP's handling of terrorism, stating that despite the abrogation of Article 370, terrorism persists. "When they took away Article 370, did terrorism stop? Today, terrorism has started again, and they are responsible for it."

On the issue of statehood, Abdullah countered claims by the Home Minister that only the BJP could restore it. "We will get complete statehood back," he said adding that the National Conference remains committed to achieving this goal.
