Kathua, Sep 16: Search operation on Monday resumed in Kathua forests after a gunfight took place between terrorists and security forces Near Kuknali Nalla area in Dhaggar on Sunday.
A top official told that on Sunday encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in forest area of Kathua.
He said that exchange of fire took place for two hours following which searches were started that were put on halt during night.
He said that extensive searches have resumed on Monday in the area to trace out the hiding terrorists.
