Srinagar, Aug 13: Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General M V Suchindra Kumar assessed the security situation in the Doda and Kishtwar areas, focusing on counter-insurgency efforts.
Amidst an uptick in terrorist activities, the visit aimed to evaluate the ongoing anti-terror operations carried out by the Counter Insurgency Force (Delta).
During his visit, Lieutenant General Kumar reviewed the operational strategies and discussed the deployment of additional forces to strengthen the security apparatus in the region.
Emphasizing the importance of collaboration, he highlighted the need for seamless coordination between the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and paramilitary forces to ensure effective counter-terrorism measures.
The Army Commander also interacted with troops on the ground, acknowledging their efforts and encouraging them to maintain a high tempo of operations.
He stressed the critical role of ensuring security and safety for both ongoing and upcoming events in the region.
