Srinagar, Aug 13 (KS): An encounter broke out between government forces and Terrorists in Doda district of Jammu division on Tuesday.
An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that a joint operation by the Indian Army and the local police is currently underway in the Akar Forest near Patnitop, following specific intelligence inputs.
The operation commenced earlier today and has established contact with a group of terrorists in the area.
Army in a post on ‘X’ said that based on specific intelligence inputs, a joint operation by army and police was launched in Akar Forest near Patnitop.
“Contact has been established with the terrorists and operations are in progress.” Army said.—(KS)
