A moderate intensity western disturbance currently affecting the parts of Jammu and Kashmir under its influence of this weather system,

Light to moderate rain along with Gusty winds and thunderstorms is expected in Plains of J&K during next 24 hrs.

Moderate to heavy snowfall is expected in higher reaches. Snowfall is also expected in Gulmarg, Sonamarg, & Doodhpatri . 

For higher reaches total snowfall accumulation can ranges from 1-3 Feet. Gulmarg & Sonamarg may receive fresh 1 feet snowfall during next 24hrs.

Improvement in weather is expected from 14th March Afternoon across J&K.
