SRINAGAR: Following fresh snowfall, the Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority (JKDMA) issued an avalanche warning for the Ganderbal and Kupwara districts of Kashmir on Monday for the next 24 hours.
Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority in a comminique said the warning indicates a Low Danger Level for potential avalanches, particularly above 2600 meters in Kupwara and 2800 meters in Ganderbal districts.
“The Residents residing in these high-altitude areas are advised to exercise caution and refrain from venturing into avalanche-prone zones over the next 24 hours,” the JKDMA said.
