Jammu and Kashmir Announces Half-Day Public Holiday for Ram Mandir Inauguration
In anticipation of the upcoming inauguration of the Ram Mandir, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has declared a half-day public holiday on Monday, January 22, 2024. This decision is in accordance with Government Order No.1582-JK(GAD) and No.1583-JK(GAD), both issued on December 11, 2023.
Residents of the Union Territory will be granted a brief respite as the public holiday extends until 2:30 p.m. on the designated day. This thoughtful move allows the community to actively participate in and witness the historic inauguration.
