Shopian, 20 December 2022,(KAT) : An Encounter broke out between militants and government forces in Manj Marg area of Zainpora in South Kashmir's Shopian district on Tuesday.
Reports reaching—(Kashmir Abbb Tak) that a joint team of Police, Army's 1RR and 178 CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Manj Marg.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
A senior police officern confirmed to about exchange of firing between militants and security forces.
As per the sources two to three militants are believed to be trapped—(KAT)
