An active Western Disturbance, however not strong, is expected to affect Jammu and Kashmir from 04 December onwards.
Under its influence, light to moderate rain/snow is expected at most places in Jammu and Kashmir on 05 December.
The weather system isn't strong and hence is unlikely to cause any major snowfall across J&K.
Although there are chances of snowfall in plains, however, no significant snow accumulation anywhere (>3 inches) is likely.
And of course, there will be rains associated with the system.
In most higher reaches, snow accumulation will be less than 1 foot (probably between 2 to 6 inches).
Day temperature will stay below 9°C in Kashmir on Dec 05.
A second forecast will be shared in the coming days.
