*North Kashmir: Gunfight breaks out in Bandipora forests*
Baramulla, 24 July 2021, (KAT): A Encounter Started between militants and government forces in Shokbaba forest area in North Kashmir's Baramulla district on Saturday.
Police officer told news agency_(Kashmir Abb Tak) that a joint team of Police, Army's 13RR, 14RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Shokbaba Forests.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an gunfight.
A senior police officer also confirmed about exchange of firing between militants and security forces.
As per the sources two to three militants are believed to be trapped_(KAT).
